Colombia vs Peru live on PPV
The national teams from Colombia and Peru will meet Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ. Integrated Sports Media is distributing the game live on cable, satellite and internet Pay Per View via iN Demand, DISH and eversport.tv.
Colombia, ranked fourth in the FIFA world rankings, will meet Peru, a semifinalist from Copa America, at Red Bull Arena days after the stadium hosts Brazil-Costa Rica Sept. 5.
The matchup features two nations that advanced to the knockout stage of Copa America, with Colombia falling to Argentina on penalties in the quarterfinals, and Peru reaching the tournament's semifinals before losing to Chile. The two met in a group stage game in that tournament, playing to a 0-0 draw.
Colombia returns to Red Bull Arena for the second consecutive year, and fifth time since the stadium opened in 2010. The team played two matches at RBA last fall against Ecuador and Canada. The Colombian team boasts some of the brightest young stars in the world, such as Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, along with Radamel Falcao and Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, who both play for Chelsea. The team is directed by Argentine coach Jose Pekerman. Colombia also advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup.
Peru, managed by Ricardo Gareca, advanced to the knockout stage of the Copa America by way of a 2-1 win over Venezuela and the tie with Colombia in group play. Peru then defeated Bolivia in the quarterfinals, 3-1, on the strength of a hat trick from Paolo Guerrero. Guerrero scored again, along with Andre Carrillo, to capture third place in the tournament with a 2-0 win over Paraguay.
